"I was inspired by Chiropractic at a young age when my mother suffered from severe and chronic pain. After seeing 13 specialists and undergoing countless failed procedures, my mother finally experience effective and lasting relief by visiting a Chiropractor. After becoming a patient myself, I recognized the immense impact this practice makes on the lives of many and I knew right away that I must pursue a career of service to others.
I owe a special thanks and appreciation to my mother and father, and all of my grandparents for their tremendous support and inspiration. "
Though originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Dr. Habenicht moved to the western suburbs to attend National University of Health Science Chiropractic Medicine Program. Dr. Habenicht continues to dedicate her studies to learning more in the fields of internal medicine, functional medicine, pregnancy and pediatric care, nutrition, and various soft tissue manipulation techniques.
Prior to Chiropractor school, Dr. Habenicht attended Montreat College in North Carolina on a Soccer Scholarship, where she also received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pre-Medical Studies and a double minor in Chemistry and Environmental Studies. Her other interests include: hiking with her dog Hunter, playing soccer, learning how to golf, and reading.
At just 14 years old, Dr. Habenicht developed a passion for Chiropractic Medicine and decided this field was her future. As a committed soccer player, Dr. Habenicht was always searching for real health solutions instead of medication for her injuries. In high school, she sought out Chiropractic Care for a severe ankle sprain. As a result she experienced full resolution of ankle pain and weakness, and due to the comprehensive nature of the practice she also had relief of hip pain and a reduction of GERD symptoms and debilitating migraines.
In light of her successful experience, she asked to observe her Chiropractic Physician who in return offered her an assistant position at his office. This opportunity amplified her enthusiasm and opened her eyes to the vast scope of Chiropractic.
